Is it time to go to the water? #112
This was one of that weeks that we do a lot of different but important tasks on our boat. We decided to install the 4 winches on the deck of our boat in order to be able to close the ceiling of our bedroom and in one part of the kitchen ceiling (headliner). To install the winches we used white Sikaflex 195 UV to seal the holes of the screws and around the winches to avoid having water inside the boat. It’s so good to have the sensation of things been installed and having less things stored inside the boat. Things are moving, sometimes it seems that they are moving slowly, but every single task we do we celebrate as a big thing. This week Duca and Eduardo (the guy that works with paint) painted the hull of our boat with a paint (Intertuf from International - bicomponent vinyl primer) to prepare the hull to receive the anti fouling paint in the future (closer to the time we go to the water).
I have said this before, but I’m gonna say it again just in case: it’s so cool to work building and/or refitting something because every single day you can learn a new task and challenge yourself to do something new that sometimes you have never imagined before that you could do. The feeling of mission accomplished it amazing. Every day a new task and every single day we are closer and closer to get our boat in the water.
